Färgfabriken is one of Sweden's premier mixed art spaces. It is a platform for contemporary cultural expressions, with an emphasis on art, architecture, urban planning and climate. In many of their projects and exhibitions, both in Sweden and abroad, they have developed methods with the purpose of exploring and trying to understand the complexities of our constantly changing world.
Färgfabriken believes that it is important to create conditions for free and creative thinking and that in this context, art is central. Art acts as a catalyst for innovation in the meeting with society, as well as with individuals. Färgfabriken’s projects and exhibitions have a wide audience, including active decision-makers, creators, artists and scientists – those who can make a difference today.
The Jubilee Expedition in collaboration with Färgfabriken will exhibit a carefully curated exhibition of large-format giclée fine art prints that will be accompanied by soundscapes from when the sea ice breaks and the wind blows over the frozen landscape.
The exhibition will be a dramatic experience showcasing the arctic landscapes and wildlife as well as the expedition team. The photographs will be displayed as islands of light in the dark.
A part of the exhibition will tell stories about the expedition where we show pictures of nature, researchers, adventure and also have room for history with Nordenskiöld's pictures from 1872-73.
